What is your cancellation policy?

A 50% deposit is required upon reservation and the remaining 50% will be collected 30 days prior to arrival. Any reservation cancelled 30 days prior to arrival will receive their deposit back in full. Any cancelations made 29-15 days prior to arrival will receive 25% of the total cost and any cancelations made 14 days or less will forfeit their monies in full. That deposit may be applicable to future reservations at the discretion of management.

Do you provide towels and toiletries?

Yes! We provide towels, natural shampoo and body wash that can be used on the land. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries as we do not have any for sale at the camp. We ask that guests stick to all-natural bath products so that we can keep the ecosystem in pristine condition.

What is the bathroom situation?

We have the tented Safari Bathroom of your dreams. Shared luxury bathrooms include a fully functional hot shower with wand shower head, instant hot and cold water, sink and flushing toilet. Over 8’ of headroom. 120 sq feet, with 60 sq feet of dressing room space. The campus has 1 solar powered lavatory tent for every 2 guest tents, positioned within a short 1-2 minute walk from any location at Hideaway.

There are NO outlets.

What about dietary restrictions?

Once you make your reservation, you will be asked to make your selections for your package-included meals. At that time, please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, we will be happy to accommodate you. Children's meals can also be coordinated in advance of your arrival. Most meals are serviced with real plates, glassware and utensils. Lunch is typically offered as a boxed item for afternoon excursions (available at our mobile kitchen after 9:30am).

Hideaway Co. also has a selection of snacks available at the bar, and charged upon consumption. for your enjoyment between or after meals. Upon request, we are happy to provide s’mores kits and prepare a fire.

Do we have to eat at the main tent?

Guests have the option of dining in our main tent with fellow glampers or may request a meal be delivered to your tent. Guests are assigned a table by name in the main tent. That table will remain yours for the weekend.

What are bar hours?

The Hideaway Bar  is open from 5:00PM - 10:30PM. However, beverages are available throughout the day, just ask.

Please be mindful that Maryland liquoralcohol. If you want to bring your own snacks, those need to be stored securely in your vehicle or an airtight container. This is to prevent any unwanted furry or crawly creatures.

Check-in and check-out times?

To allow for enhanced cleaning protocols,  your tent will not be available until 5pm. If you Check in. If you arrive earlier than 5pm, please visit the on site Cidery at Branch Bender and enjoy the lovely outdoor covered lounge. If you think you will be arriving after 8pm just let us know so we can make note on your reservation. Check out is 12pm, noon.

Do the tents have electricity?

Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tent which means no mini fridge or coffee maker. However, there are battery powered fans & lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least 2 cell phones. If you need a powered battery for a CPAP or medical device just let us know in advance of your stay, so that we can request one. Powered batteries are available at an additional charge.

Are the camps lit at night?

Yes, solar pathway lighting allows you to take in your 1,000 star hotel room! That’s glamping! With that being said, there are lights in the common areas, the shared bathrooms, and your tent comes with lanterns for your use inside and outside the tent. We do recommend bringing a small camping headlamp for any night hikes you may find yourself on.

Can I lock my tent?

The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up so you can close them when you leave. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports, etc with you or in a locked vehicle.

How safe is camp?

Our staff is on site 24 hours a day. We are there to help make your glamping experience comfortable & safe. The staff will make evening rounds at 11:00 PM. 

Are you pet friendly?

Yes, dogs are welcome! We have a $50 fee per pet for the weekend. We ask that all dogs are kept on a leash and owners clean up any waste. Pets are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time.

Do the tents have fire pits?

In order to provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits and seating. Staff prepared campfires are lit between 6 pm and 11 pm nightly. We also have S’mores kits for purchase. Who doesn’t love S’mores?

Is there wifi?

No. Although we encourage taking advantage of your surroundings and truly disconnect, we understand that isn’t always possible. Connectivity is available through most major cell providers.

Will my cell phone work?

Yes, but the quality of coverage can vary. We suggest checking with your cell phone service provider.

Yoga?

We've found that most guests enjoy a leisure morning at Hideaway. There is plenty of open space for independent stretch and meditation.  Should you wish to participate in an organized class, local partner, Wildom Farm offers a walk-in Farm Yoga class every Saturday at 10am for a small fee.

Please bring your own mat from home.

What should I pack?

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes/boots, backpacks, water bottles and cell phone chargers that have a USB-A end to charge in the base of your tent lanterns.

Based upon your choice of any excursions, you may wish to consider long pants and closed toe shoes for trail rides or wet shoes and suit for rafting. Wellies are always a good idea.

Is there parking?

There is a central open parking lot. Upon arrival, guests services will take you and your belongings via golf cart your tent. Everything including parking is accessible via a foot path. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with a golf cart.

Are the tents heated?

Located in mountain Maryland, morning and evenings an offer a chill. We are pleased to offer Pendleton blankets along with your comforter when needed. Please also be our guest at the communal fire pits - where our staff will provide wood and prepare a fire for you to enjoy morning or night.

Do the tents have air conditioning?

Our tents do not have air conditioning, but they do have vent flaps. If you are visiting in the summer please keep this in mind. They do have solar powered fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little. If you have small children or elderly it may not be the best fit in the middle of summer.

Should I bring the kiddos?

Sure! We have four 3-day family weekends during the season, but feel free to bring the whole family anytime. We do recommend kids be over 6 years of age, and will be happy to accommodate with children's menu options.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 11pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others. 

What do I do if I've left something behind?

If you’ve left something behind during your stay, please email reservations@hideawayco.comto report your missing item(s). We will try our best to find and return your item(s). However, please keep in mind that Hideaway Co is not responsible for unfound items.

What about the weather?

Please be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. Hideaway Co.  will operate rain or shine so please be prepared for anything.
